Undergraduate classes are taught on-site in urban, suburban, or rural schools. The first set of courses (block 1) addresses basic teaching methods and behavior-management issues and strategies. The second set of courses (block 2) develops knowledge and skills in assessment and development of curricula for students with special needs. In addition to blocked coursework, the degree requires pre-student teaching experiences and a culminating course in student teaching.
Graduate courses help students develop and apply expert skills and knowledge to effectively teach students with disabilities through this nationally recognized program.
